Participatory Policy Councils

A portion of my research focuses on the creation of participatory policy councils for LGBTs in Brazil.

The map below is a visual representation of municipal and state policy councils that focus directly on sexual diversity and/or LGBT citizenship & rights. The map is based on municipal data collected by the Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and supplemented by my own data collection and verification of IBGE data. It is exhaustive for municipalities up to the year 2016; state data is in progress.
